“Where You Lead” is a first for me in more than one way! How? It was my very first oil (Rembrandt oil paint) painting; the first depicting a person in a townscape and also the first painting I did from a photograph by my daughter! She spent a year in Germany and took this picture in a small town called Rottweil, located in the Baden_Württemberg area. While the Black Gate (Schwarzes Tor) leads to the town area, I chose to leave it a bit mystical, unknown and unseen. Partly because, when I looked back on 2020, one thing was certain and that was that we cannot always plan our future. “Where You Lead” thus serves as a reminder to me that, as long as I go where God leads, I will be ok even though I do not know exactly what the future holds.
